Press Statement on the Proposed Amnesty for Robert Mugabe
The Anti-Tyranny Taskforce has noted a report in The Independent (UK) http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/mugabe-offered-amnesty-and-job-for-life-in-draft-agreement-886144.html and various online publications which refer to the granting of blanket amnesty against prosecution deal for Robert Mugabe and his cronies, by the proponents of the Government of National Unity (GNU) in Zimbabwe.
If the above-mentioned reports of such a deal are indeed accurate, the Anti-Tyranny Taskforce hereby categorically declares its umbrage to such an arrangement. Robert Mugabe and his associates are criminals awaiting their day in court to answer for acts of genocide against the people of Matebeleland and other heinous acts committed by the ZANU (PF) regime in the past 28 years.
The Anti-Tyranny Taskforce will not allow Zimbabwe to become the template for dictators to follow as they brutalise innocent civilians only to be pardoned and protected by their fellow closet dictators who might follow suit when they in turn assume the reigns of power. We cannot allow such a retrogressive precedence to prevail and therefore declare any amnesty void.
We reaffirm our resolute commitment to justice, the rule of law and peace. With that in mind, the Anti-Tyranny Taskforce cannot support any GNU that is formed with perpetrators of crimes against humanity, looters of national assets and common criminals.
The Anti-Tyranny Taskforce therefore declares that:
1. Notwithstanding any immunity agreement between certain political personalities in Zimbabwe, our members have resolved to proceed expeditiously with the criminal indictment for crimes against humanity for Robert Mugabe and his associates.
2. Under the principle of universal jurisdiction, we shall soon issue a written statement at the appropriate time notifying Robert Mugabe and his associates of our right to affect their arrest upon sight of them in any country that adheres to international humanitarian law.
3. We do not recognise the proposed GNU as the sovereign authority in Zimbabwe nor do we recognise any of the immunities and privileges that the GNU administration affords its officials.
4. Members of the Anti-tyranny Taskforce reserve the right to commence civil proceedings against Robert Mugabe without further notice, since he legally ceased to be Head of Sate on 29 March 2008.
The Anti-Tyranny Taskforce supports free and fair elections under the auspices of the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN) and the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) that culminate in a government that reflects the will of the people of Zimbabwe.

The scent of power filling the corridors of kingmakers’ offices from Sandton to Harare has clouded the judgement of persons who once had the mandate from the majority to form the next government and remove a dictatorship. By allowing themselves to become willing human shields of tyranny, eager to be the gentler side of despotism, self-serving democrats are now the proverbial lipstick on a baboon.
Communist
guerilla warfare tactics call for fighters to “hug” conventional army
units - meaning that the guerillas in attack get dangerously close to
the defending entrenched army formation, thus denying the army the
advantage of aerial or artillery fire support to repulse the attack.
ZANU (PF) is a violent Marxist/Leninist party, which subscribes to failed North Korean Juche, Chinese Maoist and Soviet Marxist political and military doctrines. The salvo of sanctions, travel restrictions, military intervention, and other forms of embargo will be ineffectual if we can no longer distinguish friend from foe. This seemingly benign “hug”, the GNU, a contagious fatal virus, will in the long-term mutate and devour democrats who shall turn into mutant African dictators. The GNU’s only short-term benefit is the self-preservation of criminals and enablers of tyranny.

Architects of state violence, perpetrators of heinous human rights violations, enablers of tyranny and merchants of corruption who recently outsourced genocide to the continental experts of ethnic cleansing, the Interahamwe, are now the strange bedfellows and partners of credulous democrats longing for justice, peace and freedom.

we will not recognise any GNU, hapana iyoyo. Tonosanga kuHague. Talk of
GNU is pure bovine excrement. National healing starts only when Mugabe
and his cronies are in prison. The granting of immunity to any members
of his illegitimate government is no longer possible, “nguva yacho yaka
pfuura.”
Zimbabwe
is about to witness the beginning of another sad chapter in our history
that will give birth and entrench genetically modified dictators.
Closet despots who are part of the furniture in the boardrooms of
misrule are being breathed a new lease of life by naïve cloned
democrats keen to have their turn in “100% affirmative looting.”

ZANU
(PF) and injustice are Siamese twins co-joined at the hip. They require
a complex surgical operation for their separation. Due to shortages of
medicines, electricity, and fuel as well as other social
considerations, this operation cannot occur now. However once this
delicate procedure has been performed, some members of ZANU (PF) need
to be injected with an antidote for tyranny. It is in the form of a
lead coated, 5.56mm full metal jacket capsule. For enhanced efficacy,
has to be administered by a trained patriot with a single shot in the
head or heart for best results.
The bar for democracy has been set so low by Africa’s numerous autocrats and kleptomaniacs , it is now acceptable to form a government after violating all universally accepted electoral standards, the rule of law, international humanitarian law, committed acts of genocide and rape, torture and murder of political opponents.
The African Union (AU) message to the next generation of Zimbabwean politicians: ruin your economy, preach racial hatred, invent corrupt methods of government, cheat in elections and loot state coffers, plunder national resources, kill your political opponents, call favours from fellow despots, attend AU & SADC sessions and get their endorsement then declare yourself Head of State . Pressure your opponent into a coalition government arranged by your peers, whilst you continue to murder, rape and torture winning party members. Offer the winner of the elections a token unconstitutional position in your government, like the non-existent position of Prime Minister. Apportion all fault for the country’s economic ills, agrarian reform disaster and hyperinflation on your ex-colonial ruler. Coerce your opponent to become your cheerleader and send him around the world with a begging bowl. Establish credibility and legitimacy through propaganda laced with intimidation.
Africa’s perpetual parasitic friends Russia and China never let us down. They will supply any buffoon with new anti-personnel mines that now litter our landscape, RPG7 rockets and AK47s. They will diligently veto any UN Security Council resolution that threatens the existence of their loyal arms customers – African warlords and dictators.
Some
of us would rather live in the political wilderness as members of the
opposition than to allow ourselves to be enthusiastic associates of
persons whose hands are dripping with the fresh blood of innocents and
whose fingers are still trapped in the nation’s cash registers.
Mandela
never negotiated with the godfathers of apartheid, Hendrik Verwoerd,
Johannes “John” Vorster or Pieter “PW” Botha. The free world never
negotiated with Idi Amin, Jean Bedel Bokassa, Mobutu Sese Seko, Sani
Abacha, or Mengistu Haile Mariam. Why should we negotiate with Mugabe?

If the utopian document, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) hastily signed in Harare on 21 July 2008 is successful, it will produce a disgusting afterbirth named the Government of National Unity (GNU), with Robert Mugabe as President and an MDC Prime Minister.
Their new unified political party could be ZANU (DC) or MDC (PF), but what will be its new symbol? A clenched fist and an open palm are so diametrically opposed and represent divergent political ideologies. If however this political marriage succeeds then it will soon be possible for Thabo Mbeki to arrange similar spectacles for World Cup 2010 visitors to the Transfrontier National Park where laughing hyenas will be grazing peacefully with impalas and drinking water in the Limpopo with blissful crocodiles.
ZANU is the cynical acronym amongst political pundits for Zezurus Against National Unity, in reference to the hardcore tribal inner circle of personalities who cling to its prehistoric divisive policies.
Unless the MDC leadership went through an overnight spiritual and genetic transformation, are they not the same persons who have prescribed the wrong advice to Morgan Tsvangirai before ? The Ben Menashe trick, treason charges and other recent political faux pas, do not convince the average voter that the MDC leadership is aware of the perils of a GNU with a conniving political Houdini possessing numerous degrees in violence. The MDC must be careful of being outflanked and outfoxed by Mugabe and JOC.

Enter President Mugabe and an MDC Prime Minister for their first day of business at the Munhumutapa Offices. However before we get there, the entire One Presidential Guard Battalion must relocate from Chancellor Avenue in Harare, to a new cantonment area. This is necessary to make way for the new occupants of Dzimbahwe House - the official name for the Prime Minister’s residence, a man whom they have vowed not to salute.

The issue of security then presents itself. Originally the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), was referred to as the “Prime Minister’s Office,” before the adoption of the current executive presidency. The Close Security Unit (CSU), which provides VVIP protection, is composed entirely of a secretive handpicked die hard Mugabe clique. Espionage, counterintelligence and political assassinations are the forte of this shadowy unit, which the GNU Prime Minister shall have to control. The CIO’s CSU is fashioned and utilises the same modus operandi as the notorious Romania Securitate, East German Stasi and Soviet KGB.
Having members of the CIO provide security to members of MDC is parallel to the fox guarding the henhouse.
Since
the constitution stipulates that the President is the
Commander-in-Chief of the defence forces even if the portfolio of
Minister of Defence is given to an MDC person, how is the military
chain of command going to work?
General Chiwenga’s term as Commander of the Defence Forces (CDF) has been unconstitutionally extended to 2011. He has committed serious military offences that call for a court marshal and should be retired immediately. Furthermore, General Chiwenga has vowed not to recognise the authority of any person other than Mugabe.
Do you picture an MDC Prime Minister urgently summoning Constantine Chiwenga, Augustine Chihuri, Perence Shiri, Happytone Bonyongwe and Paradzai Zimhondi to the GNU Prime Minister’s office to give them their marching orders?
The proposed GNU Prime Minister, will not possess adequate executive power, personal fortitude or the political will to reprimand, censure or reassign rogue military officers who mounted a constitutional coup on June 29 2008. This nexus is the raison d'être the GNU is the mother of all abortions (MOA). The GNU President Robert Mugabe, on the other hand is on speed dial with the offending military generals, officers and he unlawfully answers to and agrees with their nefarious illegal schemes.
When the next female MDC supporter is gang raped, or an elderly party organiser brutally tortured by youth militia, will the GNU Prime Minister order the Zimbabwe Republic Police headed by a member of JOC, Augustine Chihuri, to investigate?
The
only pragmatic way forward is to insist on Robert Mugabe’s immediate
exit and agree to a non-partisan transitional authority under the
auspices of the United Nations. For the duration of the transitional
period, the military is strictly confined to barracks, youth militia
camps disbanded and war veterans demobilised. A police force made up of
officers from the UN enforces civilian law and order with full
arresting powers during this volatile period. An impartial Chief
Justice has to be appointed and it is of paramount importance during
this phase that an unbiased judiciary not only does justice, but that
justice must be seen to be done.
The transitional authority must adopt an all-inclusive constitution that guarantees universally accepted human rights and freedoms to all Zimbabweans. Fresh harmonised elections are then held with the democratically elected winner forming the next legitimate government of a new Zimbabwe.
The
current talks of a GNU, transitional government or whatever animal this
is, will fail with dangerous consequences if the generals retain their
power through JOC, the ZANU (PF) politburo or the office of their
illegitimate President.
Multitudes of innocents are dead, mutilated and psychologically scarred in the quest for real democracy and freedom. This ill-conceived GNU rewards the perpetrators of violence and insidiously traumatises the victims. It is agonising mental torture to contemplate seeing images of these unrepentant tormentors masquerading as freedom loving democrats in our public visual and private auditory space on a daily basis.

RE: Use of Agro
Chemicals as Bio-Chemical Warfare Agents in Zimbabwe.
General Chiwenga,
Zimbabweans steadfastly demand that you order the
cantonment of all ZDF personnel currently deployed in the rural and urban areas
and an immediate cessation of all universally prohibited bio-chemical attacks
on Zimbabwean citizens. Furthermore, the
systematic use of rape as a weapon of war by your military auxiliaries and
militias on women political activists in your numerous re-education torture
camps must end forthwith. This sadistic premeditated use of sexual violence
against women and girls is inhuman and defies our strong African cultural
values.
Unashamed partisan members of the ZDF under your direct
command and control are engaged in illegal, horrific and repugnant acts of
bio-terrorism against unarmed defenceless civilians in Zimbabwe. These unprovoked attacks carried
out by your officers and men as part of a pre-planned opposition voter
annihilation exercise, are prohibited under international law and lack human
decency.
General Chiwenga your propensity for wicked acts of
brutality is infamous. However, you have outdone yourself with this latest
spate of despicable criminal acts of viciousness, which are not only cowardly but
also repulsive and totally unforgivable.
Traumatised women, who are gang raped, children and the
elderly subjected to torture and horrendous beatings, have their ghastly open
wounds sprayed with toxic pesticides and herbicides. The Joint Operations Command
(JOC) of which you chair supplies these agricultural chemicals, logistical
support, the victims list and is responsible for drafting the operational plans
in defence of a despotic junta.
Why on God’s earth do you do this?
Zimbabwe is a member of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and a signatory to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and the Geneva Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare.
General
Chiwenga, you are in gross violation of all known rules of war and the laws of
armed conflict. You flagrantly employ brutal military tactics against unarmed
peaceful civilians, which are prehistoric, barbaric, banned by universal law and
have no place in modern civilised society.
You and
your subordinates are now wanted war criminals to be punished for crimes of war
under the International Criminal Court and other international statutes that
cover the use of poison weapons, crimes of war and crimes against humanity.
Under Zimbabwean law, you are subject to a military court marshal for these and
other acts of blatant cruelty for which the penalty under the Defence Act is
death by firing squad.
The ZDF and ZANU(PF) youth militia under your unlawful military
command is using Paraquat (1,1'-dimethyl-4,4'-bipyridinium), trade name
Gramoxone, a lethal herbicide and Dimethoate (Dimethoxyphosphinothioylthio–N-methylacetamide) trade name Rogor,
a noxious pesticide, in its low intensity conflict against the innocent rural
citizens of Zimbabwe who voted against Robert Mugabe.
The long-term effects on the victims of your chemical warfare
include respiratory ailments, liver malfunction, involuntary defecation, psychosis,
rapid heart rate, kidney
failure, lung sores, and liver injury, coma and cardiac arrest.
International
arrest warrants will soon be issued. Prepare to answer for your scorched earth
policies and heinous acts alone in a court of law.

Of
the numerous military intervention strategies that exist for the ethical and
morally justifiable removal of the junta in Zimbabwe, only two options are
tactically feasible, politically correct and need no further public interrogation.
The
first option would involve the use of a private army. It offers plausible
deniability to any supportive government in the event of collateral damage and
civilians casualties. This option also allows for countries with post-colonial
guilt to render indirect lethal and non-lethal assistance from a distance.
This urgent intervention is a
moral imperative and will confound all cynics who subscribe to the notion that
Western countries only intervene when their economic interests are threatened.
The
second option is a direct military intervention in Zimbabwe to restore democracy and save innocent lives under
the auspices of the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), the European Union
(EU), the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the Commonwealth.
Operation
Restore Democracy should be broken into four critical phases: planning and
posturing, attack, mission completion and post-hostilities.
The
period from the first phase to the final phase for both options is sixty days.
The
Organisation of African Unity (OAU) adopted the Declaration on Unconstitutional Changes of Government through
the 36th ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of
the OAU, held in Lomé, from 10 to 12 July
2000.
This in tandem with the relevant principles of the Constitutive Act of the
African Union legally compels the AU to intervene militarily in Zimbabwe. The mandate is to remove
an unlawful, criminal junta that
overthrew an elected president on March 29, 2008 through a brutal low intensity conflict and an unconstitutional
coup de tat.
Only African Union member
states whose leaders and governments are themselves in elected office should
participate in this operation, "the coalition of the willing and able."
Zimbabwe, by its very geography presents a challenge for any
military strategist. It is landlocked and surrounded by some neighbouring
sovereign states that are sympathetic to the despotic ruler in Zimbabwe. The ability of the intervention force to over fly
these territories in support of the ground troops requires diplomacy, secrecy
and African unity. Diplomatic clearances, international support and
intelligence capabilities are essential for the success of the mission at hand.
Without divulging intimate
details of this robust intervention strategy, current war gaming reveals that the
main invasion force, the foot soldiers, should be made up of infantry battalions from Africa in
order to mitigate local animosity. With Zimbabwe broken up into five theaters of operations, each
African contingent will be responsible for the command and control of its
troops. A coalition headquarters manned by officers from participating
countries coordinates operations under a central command, thus avoiding friendly
fire and other combat communication mishaps during the fog of war.
Establishing a no-fly zone
that covers Zimbabwean airspace is the first action to be undertaken before the
posturing of the intervention force thus establishing air superiority.
Protection of national
assets such as power stations, dams, etc., against destruction from the regime
militia's scorched policy, should be prioritised .
On the other hand, the
Zimbabwe Defence Forces are well trained and battle hardened in comparison to
some of their African counterparts.
However, their equipment is functionally obsolete and if their last
battles in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), Operation Sovereign Legitimacy
(OSLEG) are anything to go by, only the Special Forces units i.e. Parachute Regiment, Commando Battalion,
Special Air Service (SAS), could present meaningful resistance.
The threat to the civilian
population and to the intervention force from the military elite, sycophantic
rogue officers and men of the ZDF will have to be suppressed through psychological
operations. Pre-emptive targeted bombings prior to the commencement of the main
attack will effectively degrade the junta's fighting capabilities. The junta
leadership should also be neutralised during this phase. The will of the
professional Zimbabwean soldier to fight and certainly die in defence of a despotic
tyrant is questionable.
Special Operation Forces
(SOF) units shall be deployed for direct action missions for eliminating youth
militia and auxiliaries who pose a grave threat to civilians. The coalition
shall not use cluster munitions, anti-personnel mines or dumb bombs in Zimbabwe.
A robust post hostilities stabilization force under a comprehensive military operation other than war (MOOTW) plan, comprising of officers and men with peacekeeping experience and training, are deployed as soon as major combat is over. The United Nations then assumes sovereign authority during the transitional phase as elections are conducted.

Appointing unelected buffoons to a corrupt
government embedded with bandits, embezzlers, political fossils, imbeciles, and
geriatrics is a futile exercise that only buys time and delays the inevitable.
Mugabe apererwa neplan kunge tsoko yazvara matwins. Monkeys and baboons only give birth to a
single baby. The rare birth of twins causes such a commotion that the entire
forest is disturbed for days,as the mother tries to figure out how to fend for two. Mugabe’s
predicament is akin to that of a monkey with twins. He did not plan for defeat ,let alone a runoff election.
I vividly remember when I started farming two decades ago how the biggest threats to our maize crop were troops of baboons that wrecked havoc on the maturing maize cobs. A good friend of mine from the National Parks advised me on how to eradicate the problem.
He told me that baboons can only count up to three.
He advised me to take ten men into the maize field and stay
hidden in the field. After approximately ten minutes, three men walk out of the
field back to the farm sheds in plain view of the baboons. At this point the
sentry will give his fellow baboons an all clear. The troop of baboons, which
is always alert and watching will count the three men and assume that everyone
that went into the maize field has left. The remaining seven men can then wait
in ambush and shoot the surprised baboons as they feast in the maize field.
The presidential election runoff is scheduled three months after the Mugabe lost the elections.
Three thugs Perence Shiri, Constantine Chiwenga and
Augustine Chihuri head Mugabe’s inner criminal cabal – Joint Operations Command
(JOC).
Today my country is reeling from hyperinflation.
The solution from the inept government and bungling central bank governor is
the manipulation of our currency by removing three zeros, “gudonomics”.
And remember this is meant to be the Third Chimurenga?
I am truly convinced now that buffoons or did I mean baboons can only count up to three.

Fall On Your Swords
The run off is a bridge too far, Robert
Mugabe must accept defeat and exit gracefully. Its time for him to do what is
right.
The noble act of falling on one’s
sword can be best described as follows: “It's been some time since men routinely
carried swords and the use of 'falling on one's sword' is now restricted to the
figurative usage when someone takes personal responsibility for a group
action.”
The time has come for all the
saber rattling generals and for those ominously holding their sabers on the
throats of democracy to fall on their swords.
